I suppose I am living a middle class lifestyle but on a broke man's budget. That is to say I own a home, well me & the bank. Have wheels, cloths on our backs, food on the pantry shelves. Children go to a good school, we live in a decent neighborhood with good public utilities. Access to world class museums & libraries. Occasionally we even go out to dinner.
So in a nutshell I'm actually pretty rich huh.pelenakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09486662453316027558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160942949010085255.post-8313897584885374312010-03-22T06:47:57.070-04:002010-03-22T06:47:57.070-04:00Hi, Found your blog while looking for sustainable...Hi, Found your blog while looking for sustainable lifestyles in the Northeast and realized you're not that far from my parents land. Anyway, I check in once in a while to see what's going on in your neck of the woods.

Good post, but I really am curious, what do you consider a middle class lifestyle?

Thanks for posting.

BethanyBethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15474075009135937270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160942949010085255.post-59778268844855201392010-03-17T11:52:53.076-04:002010-03-17T11:52:53.076-04:00Thanks I tried to include every detail. So yes the big plan is mortgage payments since we have a source of heat & in theory we could live with limited or no electricity. That coupled with food stores & access to water via neighbors the one big thing would be to keep a roof over our heads.
As to blogging it keeps me honest & modivated.pelenakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09486662453316027558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8160942949010085255.post-41939034002327665222010-03-16T10:15:10.764-04:002010-03-16T10:15:10.764-04:00Nice detailed post. That is awesome that your Fed t...Nice detailed post. That is awesome that your Fed tax return will more than cover all of this years mortgage payments. My DW and I also have had extra withheld so we were always sure to get a nice return.Have been reconsidering this however due to many states giving IOU's instead of refund checks this year.
Can't wait to see how you utilize this chunk of money.
Have you started any seeds for the garden yet?
